My class focuses on strong, foundational technique, in addition to musicality and an attention to movement quality.
It requires attention to detail and an open ear.

Sean Kaminski grew up just outside of Chicago, where he trained with Donna Johnson, Ashley Deforest, and Jay Fagan. He was a Chicago Human Rhythm Project scholarship recipient from 2004-2010 and graduated from the School at Jacobs Pillow under the direction of Michelle Dorrance and Dormeshia in 2017.
In 2011, Sean became the Tap Director at Nolte Academy in Iowa City, IA, simultaneously completing his Bachelors in Finance from the University of Iowa. For almost a decade, he trained hundreds of students locally. Sean has also taught/performed at Little Rock Tap Festival, American Tap Festival, Phoenix Tap Festival, and North Carolina Rhythm Tap Festival.
In 2020, Sean started touring the country with Adrenaline Dance Convention. This past winter, he made his Joyce Theater premier with Ayodele Casel’s “Chasing Magic” in New York City. Sean is currently based out of Los Angeles, California.
